Summary: This individual manages the physician schedulers and the 24/7/365 physician scheduling functions for RANT. This includes the management of vacation requests, on-call time, onsite staffing scheduling, remote coverage scheduling and coordination of the filling of needed add-pay shifts. This position interacts constantly with many of the physicians, VP of Operations, payroll and Credentialing departments and many other associated stakeholders.

Starting Salary: $65,000 plus potential performance bonus

Essential Functions:

  • Efficiently and effectively manage the scheduling process for physicians.
  • Provides administrative leadership and management of the daily activities and development of the physician scheduling staff.
  • Maintains requests for vacation time and additional earned time off.
  • Accommodates provider scheduling preferences based on scheduling processes, when possible.
  • Coordinates closely with the physician scheduling and payroll representative, and other associated stakeholders for schedule approval.
  • Serves as the corporate administrator of the physician scheduling application(s).
  • Completes scheduling requirements while minimizing unnecessary additional compensation.
  • Stays informed about the Credentialing status of each physician, using that knowledge to appropriately staff at each facility.
  • Educates new physicians about the physician scheduling process during orientation.
  • Keeps RANT administration updated regarding physician scheduling challenges and opportunities.
  • Develops strong relationships with physicians and leadership team.
  • Stays updated on and implements any required changes to the physician scheduling template, as constructed by the VP of Operations, Board of Directors, and Scheduling Committee.
